Our project
The SANPSY unit, established in 2011 at CHU Pellegrin, focuses on sleep, addiction, and neuropsychiatric disorders. Led by Marc Auriacombe, it has 27 members and advanced facilities, including a sleep lab and virtual reality equipment, to study the effects of sleep deprivation and fatigue on cognition and accident risks.
The unit collaborates with CHS Charles Perrens and recently integrated the CHU Bordeaux sleep clinic, enhancing its research capabilities. Its primary goals are to understand the determinants of somnolence and attention disorders, and the links between sleep issues and psychiatric conditions like addiction and depression.
